I find that praying the Hail Mary real slow at least once a day and really thinking about the words as I say them helps to to be more familiar with what I am saying as I pray the rosary without having to devote as much mental energy to it.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08615111645004884355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274208542669414492.post-72984195009949986342007-07-19T14:31:00.000-07:002007-07-19T14:31:00.000-07:00I use a similar method myself, by focusing on not ...I use a similar method myself, by focusing on not only Scripture verses but also a single point for each decade...sort of mix 'em up. I used to get muddled trying to "multi-task" -- pray and contemplate at the same time -- but I found a way to do both without confusion: I learned the prayers in Latin. So now as I pray in Latin, I meditate in English. It helps, not only in keeping the mind focused, but while learning the Latin prayers I was able to really analyze each word and gained a deeper understanding of whaty they mean. Not bad for a Methodist convert, eh?Non Sum Dignushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16416880688763680738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-274208542669414492.post-70058722387702110302007-07-18T04:13:00.000-07:002007-07-18T04:13:00.000-07:00Fantastic!
