Day 1 meditations brings to mind the word "vainity".
Also, your scripture passage below,I don't think I've come across the words "whom he is please" before. It puts a different twist on it for me.

While looking up the scripture passage for day 2 meditation, I came across this and thought you might enjoy its relevance.
